Day 1 – Pisa – Montecatini Terme.

Arrival at Pisa airport and meeting with Italia Highlights representative. Guided tour of the city to see the Square of Miracles . Transfer to Montecatini Terme for hotel accommodation and free afternoon. Ideal opportunity to relax in the exclusive Spas of the city. Dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Day 2 – Florence

A full day entirely dedicated to discovering Florence, cradle of the Renaissance and stronghold of the Medici family. Our morning guided tour in english includes the Ponte Vecchio, the Cathedral, Piazza della Signoria. Afternoon free to explore at own pace the wonders of Florence like the Uffizi Gallery, the Academy or to enjoy the atmosphere of the San Lorenzo market and luxury shops. Return to the hotel for dinner.


Day 3 – Arezzo – Cortona – Chianciano Terme

Arezzo. Of Etruscan origin and later a Roman city conquered by the Lombards in the sixth century, it was during the Middle Ages that Arezzo reached its peak and becomes an important commercial city, the cultural life is still flourishing today. The city center is virtually intact like the medieval shops in the central market and the famous paintings of Piero della Franscesca. Arezzo is also the birthplace of one of the greatest writer of Italian literature, Francesco Petrarca, inventor of an entirely new and revolutionary style.

The historic centre was the evocative film set for many films including Roberto Benigni’s “La vita è bella”. Today Arezzo is a rich dynamic city of festivals, concerts, exhibitions and known throughout Italy for the Antiques Fair. Free time for lunch and early afternoon departure for Cortona.

Cortona is Tuscany’s last stronghold in the Umbrian border. Located on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno, it was the scene of the decisive battle of the Second Punic War, when Roman troops inflicted a severe defeat to Hannibal Barca. The Diocesan Museum houses the famous Annunciation by Beato Angelico.

Chianciano Terme. Town discreet and charming, immersed in nature and far from the noise of the city.

Known since antiquity for its hot springs, Chianciano is famous throughout Italy for its prestigious thermal springs and spas.

Its water is full of blessings. Treatments have relaxing properties, stimulate blood circulation, improve metabolism , eliminate stress and beautify the skin texture.

Day 4 – Montepulciano – Pienza

Morning guided tour of Montepulciano with its medieval and baroque architecture, Montepulciano is one of the most beautiful villages in the hills best known for its production of the famous Nobile red wine. Lunch in a farm and tasting of DOC wines. Afternoon tour of Pienza. The city is located in the heart of the Val d’Orcia Natural Park (Unesco Heritage since 1996) and is considered the baroque city par excellence. Return to the hotel for dinner

Day 5 – Perugia

A day dedicated to the discovery of Perugia, capital of Umbria and chocolate. Of Etruscan origins, Perugia is one of the twelve Dodecapolis (state cities), but is in the middle ages that it reached its maximum splendour. Rich in monuments, it does not lack artistic interests. Perugia is considered to be the “mecca of gastronomy” as well as a very vibrant and lively city which organizes every year the Chocolate International Fair. It is a young and dynamic city with its university centre that welcomes many students worldwide.

Our tour include a visit of the Cathedral and the National Museum, which houses paintings by Perugino. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 6 – Assisi e Torgiano

Assisi, the city of Saint Francis. Famous for its cultural and economic wealth in the middle ages, it is the birth and death place of Francesco Bernardone, better known by the name of Francis of Assisi. For its exceptional heritage, the city is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage. Guided tour of the town to see the Basilica of St. Francis and admire the magnificent frescoes by Giotto and the church of Santa Chiara dating back to the thirteenth century. Free time for lunch.

Afternoon tour of the medieval village of Torgiano and the famous Wine Museum, one of the main wine museums in Italy. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 7 – Siena – Monteriggioni – Montecatini Terme

Guided tour of Siena. A guided morning tour of Siena, the famous city of the Palio horse race and historic rival of Florence. One of the jewels of Tuscany with its marvellous square (Il Campo), monuments and churches to include its beautiful Cathedral. Free time for lunch.

Afternoon dedicated to discover the nearby military castle of Monteriggioni. The castle sits atop a hill from which extends the typical landscape of the Tuscan hills.
