Today we will obviously visit the Tower of Pisa, and its surroundings. We will visit also the Synagogue of Pisa. The building, purchased in 1647 and subjected to a first renovation in 1785, was completely renovated in the 1860s by the architect Marco Treves. Although the initiative of the works was inserted the period of the emancipation of the Jews, the Pisan Synagogue has extremely maintained the conventional Jewish prerogatives of modesty and sobriety. Let’s go visit this wonder together. The Jewish cemetery of Pisa is one of the oldest Jewish burial sites in the world.
